Poem : Familiar Roads

Familiar road
In a city-friendly to her
where a part of hers permanently resided.
For it had her heart
after all, this was where she belonged.

It was where she grew up
The city she loved
and which loved her
the one that knew her
and always welcomed her back
With open arms
Every time she came back

Familiar Sight
Familiar people
Fresher Air
Gentler Breeze
Clearer Sky
Empty Roads
The roads she learned to drive on

The roads that went away from home
Always led her back home
