Short Story : Main Khaas Hoon

Main Khaas Hoon
Lamhe kaise guzar gaye, pata nahin. Aisa lagta hain, jaise yeh pal abhi bhi wahin ho, jaisa tha, theek vaise hi jaise maine kayee saal pehle chod diya tha..pata nahin aisa kyun lagta hain, jaise waqt to aage guzar gaya, lekin main wahin ki wahin rahe gaye...jaise thi...kya main aaj bhi ateet bhi jee rahee hoon pata nahin. Aaj bhi mujhe baarish main bheegna pasand hain, gilli mitti ki khushboo aaj bhi mann ko kush kartee hoon, puddles main khelna, dil ko khush karta hain. Gully danda aur tez baarish ka maaza hi kush aur hain. Mujhe pyar hain paani se. Mere bas kuch hi dost hain, jinke liye main jaan bhi de saktee hoon. life ki choti choti cheezein mujhe kushi deti hain. Mera parivar meri duniya hain...bas yehi sansaar hain mera aur apne is sansaar main, main bahut kush hoon. Haan, to ho saktee hoon main, sabse alag...par apno ke liye, main khaas hoon - bahut khaas - excerpts from a story written.

Random Mumbling : The Spirit of Survival

The Spirit of Survival

It just wasn't about winning and loosing for him, any more. It was more about stepping up to the mantle and proving a point to the world - you see, though they had a lot at stake here, they were also the silent victims. It was time they woke up and showed the world - that they too could roar.

Short Story : The love for stage

The love for stage

He loved the stage and his fondest childhood memory had been enacting on stage in front of a packed audience. 10 years though had passed since that time and for a person who loved stage to a person who didn't want to travel on that road again, it had been a journey of mixed emotions. Destiny though had other plans. Jittery and low in confidence he now was and little did he know, fate though had other plans in store for him. He once again, saw him self in front of the stage, a stage where he had spent in growing years, where he was in the centre of the arc light, performing..performing with all his might and as if he didn't care. The stage was empty and so were the seats in front of him. The curtains were down and he was told, there was no life in the town any longer. This place was now under lock and key. He strolled for a bit and sat there. Voices running on his head and images of his practice days racing in front of him blurred. He found his hand going forward as if calling to his team members. Then he found himself, getting up on his feet. He felt the curtains rising and the lights coming on and he found himself playing the part with equal ease and perfection, like he always used. After 30 min, he felt he heard an applause. He stopped. There was no one. The curtains were down. The stage was empty and so were the seats. He fell on his knees and he broke down. He now knew, what he had to do. To bring to life, a form of art that was long forgotten.

Short Story : Khud se door aur kitne paas

Khud se door aur kitne paas

Armaan aur khawaishayon ke peeche bhaagte bhaagte, hum khud se door hote Gaye....zindagi main kuch banne ki Chahat ne, aisa junoon paida kiya ki hum apne aap ko hi bhool Gaye. Aaj phir us gali main gaye, jahan kabhi bachon ki goonj basti thi, jahan muskurahat and hassi ki leher bastti thi aur phir mann main khayal aaya ki kushi to tab humare andar bastti thi..itna sannatta theek nahin. Aankhein band ki aur gaaya....aasman ke neeche, band darwazon par...ek himmat si aayi...barsat huee aur ek sakoon sa aaya...I...I ...had just sung to the universe and they were my audience.

Television ki khasiyat yeh hain, ki woh aapka bana bhi sakta hain aur gira bhi sakta hain...woh aapke saath bhi ho sakta aur woh aapko chod bhi sakta hain...isliye television main kaam karne ke liye, shraddha se karo, mann se karo, kyunki jis bhi show main hum karte hain na, woh show humhain banata hain..jo naam, izzat, pyar, ashirwad milta hain na, woh show ke vajah se milta hain...isliye show hain, to hum hain, show na ho, to hum bhi na ho.

..Friends!!! the words speak volumes!

Life is about trusting your feelings and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories, learning from the past and realizing that people change. Its about letting go, standing up each time you fall, smiling through the tears, celebrating, moving on with a smile on one's face, content that those who matter are with you always. Most of all, its about being true to yourself.

Creativity in TV is all about the courage, passion, will, most importantly a chance to bring to life certain elements one has in mind, keeping in mind the prepardness for struggle and pain.

Most success stories have a tale of struggle and pain behind them.

Sometimes, the past comes back to haunt you. Other times, it's a blessing in disguise. Most of the times, however it is the lessons learnt.

“Music is the soul to life, of notes to sing and chords to strike – listen to your heart, to hear the joy it brings”.

Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze us but are supposed to help us discover who we truly are. However, there are certain challenges/situations/circumstances that scar us for life as we go through the various trials and tribulations in life’s path. Why Me? is a question we often ask ourselves and we wallow in self pity, often forgetting the simple pleasures of life, not realizing that this may be because of destiny or be a part of god’s larger plan or the there may be something better in store. We wallow in such self pity, to an extent where we shun the world, not realizing that it’s really the choices we make in life which govern our behavior, behaviors that go on to be a part of us, making us the person we become and not what we truly are.

It isn't about your heart being broken. It's about how many hearts you have been able to fix. It isn't about the tears flowing from your eyes, its about the smile you have been able to put on people's face. It isn't about the hardships you have faced, its about how you have been able to overcome that period of strife.  It isn't about getting your love, it's about learning to let go. It isn't about the path easy or difficult to take, it's about the path less travelled. That's life and that's all there is to it.

Expectations - the classiest mistake one does and has. Do good and let be.

Legends are testimony to our lives. Myths are supposed to bring us together. Man...Ah well. For some, we are role models and a source for inspiration. For another, just like them - strangers, walking on the path...some alienate us or tear us apart and Another lot, couldn't care less!

One shouldn't be too hard on themselves, if the object of one's affection, returns the fervour, with less enthusiasm (from the movie - Forces of Nature.)

They should actually be glad, breathe in deep, jump in the air in excitement as it would be HIS/HER LOSS NOT THEIRS. After all, the object of that affection, hasn't realized what he/she has lost out on - a pearl in the oyster. SIMPLE. (Lesson learnt in life.)

Never feel discouraged. what may seem like a small idea now, may turn out to be something big later. you never know. All it takes is faith.

kuch vichaar : haq

Tumhe yeh hak maine nahin diya ki tum mujhse poocho, ki main zindagi ke baarein main kya jaanti hoon, ka dekha hain. Tumhari jaankari ke liye main tumhe batatee hoon, ki meri aur tumharee life shayad alag alag ho par tumhe nahin malum ki meri zindagi main kya hua hain, kya beeta hain. Ho sakta hain ki is muskaratee hue chehre ke peeche bahut dard chupa hain. Ho sakta hain, shayad mujhe bhi mushkilon ka saamna karna padha ho. Phir kabhi mat kehna kisse se, ki unhe kya malum zindagi kya hotee hain kyunki unkee zindagi main kya beeta hain, yeh tumhe nahin malum.

Kuch Vichaar : bas yun hi

haan, galti karee tumne ki mujhse koi rishta rakha par mere pyar par yeh toheen na karo, yeh keh kar ki yeh pyar pyar nahin samjhota tha. Tu kya jaane pyar kya hota. Pyar ek ehsaas hota hain. Pyar ek doosre ko samjhna hota hain. Pyar unconditional hota hain to pls pyar ki tum toheen mat karo yeh karke ki pyar ki tumhare ek condition hain ki is situation main hum ek samjhota kar dein. Samjhota aur tum. Jo aadmi, apne aage nahin dekh paya woh kya jaane samjhota kya hain. Jayo, us ma se poocho, jisne saalon se shayad apne bachon ki shakal nahin dekhee, us aaji se poocho, jisne apne beta khoya, us ghar main rahe, har deewar se poocho, jahan yaadein kabhi basee thi. Woh tumhe batayenge samjhota kya hota hain.

Rishtey: Aise hote hain jinka naata ya naam humein malum nahin hota hai, phir bhi woh hote hain. Kuch - shuru hone se pehle khatam ho jaate hain ya shuru hokar khatam ho jatein hain ya khatam hokar shuru hote hain . Kuch rishte upar se ban kar aate hain ya ek naya savera dikhate hain.Jo bhi ho, kitne nazuk hote hain, yeh rishte. bilkul maum ki tarah.Na sambhalon, to pigal kar gayab ho jatein hain.

Kuch Vichaar : Lost

vaise to dekha jaye bas kuch lamhon ka safar tha...par yeh nahin jaanta tha koi, ki yeh safar bahut kathin tha. Dil main abhi bhi basse thi woh, kaise bhool jaaye usse, us se to har yaad juda tha.

Poem : Life Rules & Destiny

"Our Life, Rules & Destiny
nothin more important than our character & dignity.
Add to it, self respect & of course family.
listen to many & speak to few.
People will be people, nothing you can do.
Your feelings are the lock n silence the key.

Trust none for world is crude.
Nothin wrong in that, may be that's the way to be,
there is no place for naivety.
Trust n faith hold life's walls
once that's broken, all is lost.:p"

Short Story : Unexpressed Emotions

Unexpressed Emotions

It was almost as if he had put a shield around him...like he was guarding himself, protecting himself from the slightest of attraction or feelings. He knew that no body could understand his state right now and he couldnt quite express it.. No body knew what he was going through or what it even felt like being in his place. No one could perhaps even understand. No body knew that beneath a smiley face lay a heart that was broken, eyes that reflected pain.

Short Story : That's what friends are for

That's what friends are for
They were catching up after long. Time had passed, things had changed and much had gone from good to bad to worst for them. Both had living in shell - in denial. Both hesitated from taking the first step to give the other the first call. Both just didn't know how the other wouls react. Yet, all it took was a collage full of memories that made them think - was it all really worth it. Both then thought of taking the first step. She tried calling her from her place and she from hers. Both got an engaged tone and then there was a cross connection. Complete silence first. A hello that both said once was all it took to mend the ice. And then the met....they looked at each others eyes. They knew they weren't mad at each other. They were hurt and there lay the difference. They put that to rest. A hug was all it took and it was all the same like it was before...and then they realized - that's what friends are for. The beauty of friendship is that you can start right from where you had left it. - dedicated to all friends. We may have parted ways. We may not even speak to each other that often. But we know, we are there for each other. We know that each time we fall, we will be there to pick the other up...That's what friends are for.

Random Mumbling : Accepting People

Accepting People
In the competitive world, we live in, its the survival of the fittest, edging the other aside and in this world, imperfections is beautiful (thankfully). The beauty of this world is that People are grey (having their own goods and bads) and people will always be people. They will hate you, they will break you, they will let you down. So, its about accepting people the way they are - for their good and bad. Everyone has a mask and a shield around em. Only we don't know their story.  And once we accept people for what they are, life becomes easier....

Short Story : The Joy of Stage

The Joy of Stage
The stage was the only place where she could be herself..where she lost herself and could see no one, where she gave form to her art, where she could release her ire and wrath...where her feet swayed to the rhythm of the beats...fragile and tender, she moved like a swan.

Tapping her feet, to the rhythm of the beat, that she felt within her, she felt pretty much at ease..and then she realized, she didn't need to hear the music to dance, she needed to feel it, within her.

Short Story : Understanding Silence

Understanding Silence

He was leaving for abroad in a few hours. Standing outside the airport, they both had a heavy heart just minutes before he was to walk in for check-in. They both had a different perspective where airports were concerned. She found it depressing and viewed it as a place which takes her away from home and people she loves. He on the other hand felt there were so many interesting things to notice. People for one and life for another. Airports reminded him of the pace, energy and speed needed to reach one's target. Differences aside, this was one moment, they wanted to cherish. Locked in an embrace and into each other's eyes...time stood still. At that moment, they knew, no matter where they are, no matter after how long they would be meeting, their connection with each other's soul would remain intact. Truly some things/moments in life are heartfelt and can't be expressed. They couldn't explain what they were feeling and going through right now but the beauty of it all was that they understood each other's silence.

No, she didn't want to burst the bubble of the child. She smiled through the tears and said - nothing. Just like that. The child took her hand and said then lets cry together. She broke into a laughter. Sigh, for the innocence and naïveté of a child. Deep inside her heart, she wished it was just a game, but it wasn't so. The child put his head on her lap and as she caressed his head, she silently hope and prayed for the innocence to remain intact and not fade away in the madding world. She looked at the face of the child. He was sleeping rather peacefully and with content. Suddenly she too felt a certain kind of calmness in her.

Today, she was caught on the cross roads of life and she missed her besties alot. However, she didnt know how they would react. It had been a while, since she spoke to them or made the attempt to reconnect. She started throwing stones on to the sea and wondered as to what made her not talk to them, not make that call, not being there. Feeling of remorse, overcame her. If only. They were the ones who had infact not let her fall at all. Work Pressures and then the madding crowd, somewhere she lost her self and them too in the process. She toyed with a idea for a while and dialled a number. She started crying the moment she said hello and there was silence on the other end. A couple of hours later, her friends were right beside her. A hug was all it took to put everything at rest. Her friends thought she was mad, when she said sorry. Friends, they said, don't say sorry. In fact they understand and are with you through thick and thin, in spirit and mind.. Between sobs, she told them, but I was not there in your happy and sad times. I was not there to share your laughter and tears. Wiping her tears, they said. It does not matter. What matters is that we are here together, at this moment of time.

Weak Foundations

They both had thought love meant growing old with each other but a difference in thought and a misunderstanding was all it took to break them from the illusion they were in. Blame game started and so did the frequent fights. it became mentally draining for them to be with each other. Friends who vouched for their love were aghast. What none of the two realised that the very foundation on which their relationship was based - friendship, trust and inherent faith was weak and could be easily broken. No, they were too absorbed in their own self pity and thought process, to realise that. A broken affair and it left a lasting impact on both of them. She went on to believe that " har kisse ko nahin milta yahan pyar zindagi main". He went on to believe "ishq hota nahin sabhi ke liiye". What they both, never gave was a chance to themselves, to learn to believe in love again. Hence they both were these withdrawn, hard and lifeless souls. They met again, this albeit as strangers and it just wasn't the same any more. Hence they thought from then on, its better to keep away and never to cross each other's path. It just wasn't about matters of the heart any more. It was something more - something they both knew but refused to admit- that their foundation was weak to begin with and they couldn't overcome this weakness of theirs.

Short Story : Predicaments

Predicaments
She was yet again caught between holding on and letting go. It was a predicament of a different kind. It wasnt concerning matters of the hearts. No, for her, it was matters of careers choice. The road ahead wasnt going to be easy. There were risks to be taken, mountains to be climbed and travelling on the road less travelled. Behind her, she would leave, a name that she had spend so many years building - all for a passion. She set about doing the chores, leaving her thoughts to rest at bay...until she came across a stamp note - "always be true to yourself and your profession and that's where courage comes from." Profession, she thought for a while. She smiled as she recalled" the only way to be happy in your profession, if you follow your hobby". She knew what she had to do.
