Time

Time had passed but even today, the feelings hadn't faded away. They both though, put a stone in their heart, for each others happiness, thinking that's the only way, the other would be happy, not realizing that they were each other's happiness. Time still stood still each time they met. It was always a wonder to others how they read the pain in each others eyes and how they understood each other's silence and the beauty of their friendship was the unsaid connection. Hence, it was always a wonder to others why they wouldn't end up together. It was as they simply put it - the fear off losing the other and the friendship, if they ever did end up together.

Solitude

Solitude. The sea had a calming effect on her, just like the mountains. The sea and the mountains- the two places where you could see her inner child come out alive. Both places reminded her of the vastness that life had to offer and in its beauty. #waterbaby #seasidestories #mountainstories

Monsoon diaries

Reading and for a minute I put the book away. I sit by the window, lost in my thoughts. There is a dash of lightning. In the dark skies, there is light. I get up to return to my book. The sound of pitter patter hits the ground and takes my attention away. I run to the window. Can it be raining? There is laughter outside. I look out. Down below, kids are jumping in joy, there is singing too as travellers are getting wet...ah, simple joys of life. I turn my face away. I want to run out but I restrain myself. I glance towards the window and I look outside yet again. A smile engulfs my face.

Thunderstorm. Rain is finally here. In times like this, I wish I could capture this moment. No wifi but that's immaterial now. I don't lose my cool.

In the silence of the night, there is magic. The universe has crafted a story of its own.

The heart suddenly seems lighter now. Ah, the calming effect of the rain. There is hope and love after all.

The wonders of the universe - so mystical and so magical.

Intuition

Sweltering Heat. It was a furnance outside. She preferred staying indoors in the comfort of her airconditioned room. There was no sign of rain. It was a day like any other month of june.

In the evening, when  it was cooler, she stepped outside. Looking up she saw the dark clouds hovering overhead. The winds had changed their direction. Was it a sign of something in store? she kept these thought to herself and kept on walking.

Little drops of rain. She looked up once again. It wasn't windy at all but the sky had started to rumble. It seemed as if something was getting crushed and being ripped into pieces. Thunderstorm. There was something in that  sound that always scared her. She couldn't figure out what it was.  I hope it's nothing to worry about, she muttered to herself as she made her way home, almost running to safety.

These uncanny feelings she got, always unnerved her. Her sixth sense told her, something is majorly wrong.  Is it to do with the people she loved?

This was no ordinary change in weather. Kuch unhoni ka sanket? No no can't be. She told herself. Think positive, she kept telling herself. Soon it started to rain.

The rain had a calming effect on her. She slept off peacefully but morning had a different story to tell. She woke up to a a devasting piece of news that had occurred in some other country. It wasn't to do with her loved one's.  It was everything to do with love, friendships, peace and humanity. Damn...these intuitions, she thought.

A silent prayers was said for the lives lost.

People will go on to lead their lives, she later told herself aloud but the question that kept dangling in her head was the one that didn't let her sit still - Will there ever be co-existence and harmony between people of different religion, caste or creed . Will they ever be able to live as one and how can I make a difference?

She had a lot of soul searching to do.

Poem : heart and mind tussle

The tussle between the heart and mind is such
A battle strong
What you feel versus what you know
Confusion
Conflict

The heart and the mind
And it’s inner working
Within the depths of your life
The answers reside

The heart and the mind
Two parts brought together as one
Through a stream of blood
Unifying as one
Practicality and emotions
Thought and Feeling

Yet the tussle remains
Strange.

Just a random thought

Rain :  a sunny smile for them both
Books : their common passion
Coffee :  what they both loved
Silence :  a language that they both understood

Yet no one could believe nor understand why they were arch rivals to begin with.

Random Mumbling : the story

It was just another day...before the rain was sunshine or after the rain was sunshine...depends which way you looked at it...the trees were witnessed to now what was history and history that was being created....natural habitat for some...heavenly paradise for some...the path to walk upon to reach the destination for a few...and for most, a journey....the roads were empty and long...but they had a story to tell...it were the roads that were traversed upon...each vehicle having a story...a story of hope may be. A story of belief. A story of love. A story of memories, ever lasting memories. #throwback #traveltales #drive #song #picture #travel #holiday #hills #forestroads #scenery #view #nature #peace #environment #solitude
