Poem : Stories are meant to live on
a story tucked away
a story tucked away
Out of ones reach
For it lay in the furthest corner
Which was under lock and key So, who would open this corner now
Only I had the key
But I wouldn’t dare to open
Too many memories
But the story which could regain its lost glory
Only if we cared to see
The joy life brings
But you see,
From a distance it seemed
There was tons of chaos, confusion
And of course, plight
But beyond all the darkness
most forgot
the darkness would give way to light
for where is darkness
also resides light
The light of hope
which dwells deep within
the light which emits
only when we radiate
But it’s not very late
To bring this story back to life
Only takes one to see
Where is this story long forgotten
The story that once got a smile to many
The story would once again be born
Only if we looked beyond
It could happen
If from I, I became we
Let’s once again
bring life to this long forgotten story
The story of hope
The story of love
The story of courage
The story of living life
To one’s contentment
Most of all,
The story which was filled
With many moments
Moments such as these
A friendly call
A warm hug to self
Just a note to say hello
Or a message to make you laugh
All connected
Through a common thread
A thread of shared purpose
And a common goal in sight
Of everlasting peace, joy and happiness
Most of all, fulfilment
Come, let’s bring this story back to life
Weaving it together
Stiching the threads, one at a time
Binding it as one
And ensuring it doesn’t get entangled
And lost once again
The journey is long
The path unending
But it’s the story that lives on
It's a story which inspires
of love and hapiness that has transpired
amongst all human kind
The soul, from where the story was born
Look deep within, there it will be found
It’s a story which we write
And because it’s we who write
It’s a story that lives
It’s a canvas which we bring back to life
For stories are meant to be like that
To live on, it’s fragrance lingering in
for generations to come.
for generations to come.
