Short Story : Predicament of a different thing

Predicaments of a different kind

She was stunned. He had just spoken a lot of things. She stood there listening quietly as he kept on talking, kept on ravanting. May be he wants to just let go of all that he has been holding on for too long, she thought. So, she just chose to listen. It was hard, It was tough. The words stung. They hurt. Now, her ego was getting hurt and she couldn't fathom out, why she was just standing there, listening to him as he kept on lamenting, kept on talking, kept on accusing. The pitch grew louder and all his frustration was coming out on her. After a while, he stopped. He looked at her and she was teary eyed. She wondered, if it was her fault, her fault that she allowed him to walk over her, say whatever he wanted to say. He had just hurt her sensitivity and touched her ego. He, on the other hand, couldnt believe..had he just said whatever he had said, to her? After all, she was the pillar of strength to him. Damn, is this why, they say think before you speak. She on the other hand, didn't know how to react. The point here really was, should she really say anything to him. What should she do? The words had just cut through her and scarred her deep inside. They burned and how. He was remorseful and she just stood there in dignified silence. She had two choices in front of her - To either stay there or then to walk away. At this point of time, she just didn't know what to do.

Short Story ; Trust Yourself

Trust Yourself

Let me tell you all a story. Many many years ago, there was a barren piece of land. At that point of time, mining in that area was at it's peak (not that it isn't any more) and this land was surrounded by mountains on three side and the lake on the other, down in the valley. It used to a birds paradise before but alas it wasnt any more. A lot of people, didn't invest in the valley as it was too far away from the city. It was in the middle of no where. While most preferred buying land on the top of the hill or the ridge, so to say...there was this dynamic man who preferred buying that piece of land on the valley. Everyone thought he was mad and a fool but he was undetered. You know why. - coz he had a vision. He saw, what others didn't see. He managed to bring the heaven on earth and build a paradise. It took years of labour, endless sleepless night and lots of passion and dedication but it bore fruit. More ideas were born and lives were enriched on that piece of land. The point I am getting is that, an idea may be something ridiculous at first but you never know, the fruit it will bear. All you need to do is try, retain the passion and vision in you, no matter how weary you may seem. Trust yourself.

Alfaz kuch mere : tanhayee aur khushi

Tanhayee aur Khushi ki Mulakatein

Aaj phir woh ghadee aayi, jab tanhayee ne uska darwaza khatkataya. Khushi ne bola, mat kholna....agar is baar tanhayee ne andar dastak de diya, to mera kya hoga...woh bola lekin, tanhayee to mehmaan ki tarah hain, usse kaise mana karoon? Khushi ne bola, theek hain, andar bula de lekin agar tanhayee andar aayegi to main bahar chalee jayoongee aur main nahin chahtee meri jagah koi aur le. Woh chup raha aur usne darwaza nahin khola.

Short Story : A Love Story

A Love Story

He was the typical college dude - charming, suave and ladies man. She was your girl next door, simple, docile, innocent, homely and sweet. He had intensity written on him and she had simplicity and innocence written on her.

Unknown to him, she would save all her pocket money, just so that she could buy his favourite guitar. Unknown to her, he would drop lillies and daisies at her doorstep very morning. It was their eyes that did the talking. It was the silence that said it all. They may never have expressed their feelings but they were each other support through it all.

Both she and him along with friends, would spend time together, laughing and joking at the basket ball courts.Their love was pure, timeless that only a few felt and knew. They didnt have to say it but knew what the other was going through. They both wanted to grow old with each other but fate and destiny had other plans. Get married to different people they did, but never did they stop loving each other. Love each other, they did, in their own way...

Today, the stands are not empty.... people still play at the courts, friends still come by the courts..In the kids, they see a part of them....and they remember the laughter and days of fun..a void is felt as only they are no longer there - they lie besides each other - in their graves... a guitar on his, and daisy and lillies on hers.

Short Story : Letting Go

Letting go
She ruffled his hair as he rested his head upon her lap. They both felt at peace and for them it was a moment that they both wanted to cherish for ever. Then softly she whispered into his ears. Go back home. You belong to some one else. He looked up and noticed the moist eyes. It was probably the first time, he realized that she really loved him...enough to let him go. He knew her love was selfless and somewhere he was caught in a battle of his own. Either ways, one was going to be hurt. It killed him to hurt either one of them...She smiled at him and said, its better if I am the one who is hurt. I know her pain. Go back. He noticed the pleading eyes...and he went away and she sighed as she saw him go away......if only I knew how much I meant to you. He on the other hand took one look at the closed door behind him...he closed his eyes and said a silent prayer for her.

Short Story : Courage

Courage
You think they are sad seeing you sad and hurt and all broken bones. No, they are happy. They are happy because this is what they wanted. They wanted to see you weak coz they knew that you were the stumbling block on their path to success. So, do you really want to give up now. I don't think so. A hawk eye on the goal and then to pursue it with all the passion that you have, is what I taught you to believe in. And no, all is not lost as yet. Close your eyes. Imagine. What do you see. This is it. That moment that you were waiting for. This moment is going to decide how you will known for the rest of your life.

Random Mumbling : Alone

Alone
She looked out of the window and could see the slums below. Sitting in her rather posh office...silence engulfed her..there was a certain void she felt seeing the scenario below...kids playing in mud, ladies lined up to fetch water, old man smoking hookies...surely, they seemed more at ease and happy and content. Suddenly, she felt a void. It was as if she had everything and yet she was all alone.
